The MNC team taking all the spoils. Namibian National Karting Championship Leg 5

This past weekend, the Mid Night Code karting team showcased exceptional skill and determination, securing a triumphant victory at Leg 5 of the Namibian National Karting Championship. The 4-driver team, composed of seasoned racers and rising stars, took the competition by storm, proving once again why they are a force to be reckoned with on the track. Their performance not only earned them the top spot but also solidified their standing as a powerhouse in the national karting scene. Let's delve into the highlights of their exhilarating weekend and celebrate their remarkable achievements.

Among the standout performers was our little racer Luna Dos Santos, who competes in the Bambino class. Luna continues to improve with each outing, impressing spectators and fellow competitors alike with her growing prowess on the track.  Despite the intense competition, she maintains her class and infectious laughter around the paddock, embodying the spirit and camaraderie that defines the Mid Night Code team.

Next up is our pocket rocket, Gury Dos Santos. Working on the technical side and driver side and it all showed. Sporting a new custom Namibian-themed helmet, Gury rocked the field in qualifying, securing pole position just ahead of Russel Josephat. Throughout the day, Gury maintained a clean sweep, engaging in a super tight and thrilling battle with Russel. The team extends their sympathies to Russel, who faced engine troubles throughout the weekend. This victory was particularly meaningful for Gury, marking his first win and a memorable milestone in his racing career.

We have the team's own smooth operator in the Micro Max class, Nic Kruger next. Despite coming from a busy private schedule and limited on-track practice, Nic exceeded all expectations. He set the track ablaze in qualifying, securing pole position. However, his journey wasn't without challenges as Ned Hamman was hot on his heels, pushing each other throughout the races. Nic's consistency allowed him to capitalize on Ned's mistakes, pulling ahead with significant margins in all the races. Taking the day's honors, we are incredibly proud of Nic and his progress as both a gentleman and a driver.

Lastly, we have Ezequiel Dos Santos in the DD2 class. Despite the small class size, it was one of the tightest competitions of the day. Ezequiel had a tough last round and was determined to set things right. Starting with a third in qualifying, the team worked their magic on the setup for race 1 after going the wrong way initially. With an amazing start, Ezequiel passed Nakita after she spun out, setting his sights on Zain. After a hard push and a thrilling battle, Ezequiel unfortunately spun, finishing the race in second. The second heat was a triumph as he pulled a gap and kept it consistent. In heat 3, Nakita put up a fierce fight, and Ezequiel couldn't get past, giving her a well-deserved first win. Ezequiel took the day's honors in the class, improving the team's points standings. The data analysis and setup work are showing significant improvement with Ezequiel, promising even better performances in the future.
The team is super proud of every driver and is eager to improve further. We can't wait to assist in developing the future of motorsport in Namibia, aiming to get international-level drivers out of Namibia onto the global stag
